"Works fine most of the time"
I mostly use WeTransfer on Chrome, and it does what I need on both my laptop and phone. I’ve also tried it on Safari, and it was mostly fine, though one upload did get stuck and I had to refresh the page. The mobile version is usable, not amazing, but good enough. I don’t really buy into all the polished company wording about how seamless everything is, but in day-to-day use it’s easy to send files between devices. I’d give it 4 stars.

"The mobile app is kind of a mess"
I tried using WeTransfer on my phone and it was just frustrating. The upload would freeze, then the app would randomly crash, and at one point I waited forever and the link didn’t even show up. I don’t know, maybe it’s fine for smaller files, but it felt really unreliable. The desktop version works way better, which makes the app feel unfinished or like it was rushed. Anyway, when you’re just trying to send something quickly, this is the last thing you want to deal with.

"Good for quick transfers, but not for sensitive stuff"
I use wetransfer every now and then, and it does the job fine for sending files quickly. But when it comes to private files, I’m not totally comfortable with it. Those links can get shared around way too easily if you’re not careful, which is kind of ridiculous when you’re dealing with anything personal. The security seems okay overall, but I wouldn’t use it for anything really sensitive.

"Helpful for tracking sent files"
I like that I can check the transfer history and see what I’ve already sent. That part makes things a lot easier. The folders could be a bit clearer though, since I still have to poke around sometimes to find what I need. Anyway.

I canceled my plan, but then I got billed again anyway. Maybe I missed some fine print or there’s an extra step I didn’t see, but it felt confusing and frustrating. Am I missing something here?

The file size limit works just like I needed it to. It’s a simple thing, but it helps keep uploads under control and saves me from dealing with oversized files later. Practical and easy to rely on

The tracking itself is fine, I guess, but the notifications show up late sometimes. It’s kind of frustrating because I’m expecting updates and then they finally come through after I’ve already been wondering what’s going on. Just feels like I’m stuck waiting around while the app catches up.

"Good, but I probably caught it at the wrong time"
WeTransfer has been easy to use, and I do like being able to add a bit of branding to my links. It definitely looks nicer than just emailing a bunch of random files around, so for quick sharing it does the job well.
That said, I think my timing was just a little off because I expected more customization when I started using it. The layout options still feel limited, and the branded pages can end up looking a bit too similar. It’s fine for simple transfers, but if you’re really trying to make everything feel on-brand, it can be a little underwhelming.

"DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SCAM"
I downloaded this app to save my wedding photos so I wouldn't have to reach out to my photographer to send an updated link. I signed up for the free trial for 7 days with full intentions of canceling it. Unfortunately, my father in law passed away & we had a week of funeral arrangements to deal with. By the time I noticed the charges, I had been charged $9.99 weekly for 3 weeks. I went on the website to try to find a contact phone number or email, and it was not easy to find. There was an only an email, so I started there. 4 days later, there was no response so I sent another email. Another week went by without hearing anything back, so I went back onto the website & dug around pretty deeply before finding a link u request a refund. They emailed me back this time, stating they can only refund charges within the past 20 days, so only one of my charges was eligible. How convenient when 14 of those days was me waiting on a response from them. The worst part? The email inbox they reached out to me on was the same one I initially emailed in the beginning but didn't get a response. I explained all of this to them, and their response was 'I'm sorry, here's a link to request the refunds you're eligible for within the last 20 days'. They must keep their business going by taking people's money & having such a short window to ask for it back. Use another program. I wish I would've just reached out to the photographer after all this headache. I'll have to file a claim with my bank for the unauthorized charges now from such an unhelpful company. & to not be willing to work with customers dduring a time of grief, that's very low morals for any business or person.

"It works, even if it’s a bit much sometimes"
I’ve used wetransfer quite a few times, it gets the job done. The upload page is clean enough, and it’s easy to figure out where to add your files. That said, the design feels a little too flashy these days, with all the big backgrounds and things moving around. Sometimes I just want a simple button to send my stuff and be done with it. The ads and highlights aren’t terrible, but they do get in the way a bit. Still, it’s free, so I can’t complain too much. Not my favorite experience, but I keep using it because it works

The download worked fine, just took a little while to finish. Compared to some other downloads I’ve done that were quicker, this one felt a bit slower, but it got the job done in the end

"Honestly, I Felt Let Down"
I really wanted to like this, but after trying it, I just felt disappointed. For what I paid, I expected something that felt more useful or better quality. Instead, it left me feeling like I wasted my money, and that’s never a good feeling.

It works well for the most part, but sometimes the policy blocks kick in a little faster than I expected, if that makes sense. Not a huge issue, just something I noticed while using it.

"Easy for big files, but the expiring links are a pain"
I’ve used wetransfer a bunch for sending large files, my gut feeling is that it’s one of the easiest options out there. You upload, send the link, and you’re done. The only thing that bugs me is how quickly the links can expire. A few times, someone didn’t download the files in time, and I had to upload the whole folder again, which is especially annoying when it’s a big one. It’s not the end of the world, but it definitely wastes time. I’d like it a lot more if the free links lasted longer or at least sent some kind of reminder before they expired.

"Pretty good overall"
Overall, I’m happy with it. The uploads are really fast, which is the main thing I noticed right away. Downloads are okay too, nothing amazing but they get the job done. It does slow down a bit sometimes, but not enough to make me regret using it.

"Great When It Works, But Seriously Unreliable"
I use WeTransfer for work, it’s fine when it actually works. But lately my uploads keep freezing, or I’ll send a link and clients can’t even open it. What a joke. It’s frustrating when you’re trying to get files out on time and you can’t trust the service to do the one thing it’s supposed to do.

"The emails actually show up"
I mostly use WeTransfer to send big design files, the email links just seem to get where they’re supposed to go. Clients usually get them quickly, even the ones with super picky inboxes. I’ve noticed I get way fewer of those “hey, did you get that?” messages now, which is kind of a relief. It’s simple, but it does the job, and that’s really all I need.

I had an issue with a file and expected it to turn into a whole back-and-forth, but support got back to me quickly and fixed it without making it complicated. It was a much smoother experience than I thought it would be, and I really appreciated that
